Social media community guidelines

The VIATRIS™ social media channels provide a place to discuss and share information about how we empower people worldwide to live healthier at every stage of life.

By interacting with us on social media, you agree to abide by these community guidelines, as well as the terms of service or other notices provided by the social media platform including any applicable age or other similar eligibility requirements, as well as any other acceptable use requirements. We reserve the right to remove comments or ban/block users in order to maintain a safe, respectful and productive online community.

Rules of engagement

We encourage you to comment, ask questions and engage in conversation. However, we ask you to be respectful of your fellow community members. We prohibit, and reserve the right to remove or block who submit posts that:

  • Contain abusive, defamatory, offensive or hateful language
  • Are misleading or deceptive
  • Are unlawful or violent
  • Contain infringing content
  • Are off-topic, spam, trolling or deliberate disruption of discussion
  • Promote solicitation or link-baiting (embedding links that drive traffic to another site)
  • Contain private information about other people (this is any information that can directly or indirectly identify an individual. This includes but is not limited to names, nicknames, social media account details, contact information and images)

Our corporate social media channels are not meant for discussing the specific medicines and other products offered by Viatris. Due to the regulations governing our industry, we may have to remove comments about our products and cannot answer product-related questions.

Use of Content.

We respect the intellectual property rights of others and prohibit the publication of infringing content on our social media channels.  We also respect your intellectual property rights, and you will retain ownership of all your rights in the content you post.  Because we need your permission to re-use your content, by submitting posts to our social media channels, you are granting us a perpetual and irrevocable license to reproduce, distribute, display, perform, transmit, and prepare derivatives of your posts, including the right (but not obligation) to identify you (using your name, likeness, social media account, or other personal details associated with your post) as the author of such content.  Also, please remember that any information you post publicly may be viewed by others, and we do not have any control over the uses of that information by third parties, so you should use common sense, and good judgement and discretion on what information you choose to provide on public or quasi-public forums.

Community moderation

While we will make an effort to monitor our channels on a regular basis and respond promptly, you should know that we may not always be able to address communications quickly, effectively, or at all. For example, we may need to redirect some discussions or may not respond to every inquiry, such as out of a need or desire to protect patients’ privacy and to comply with the laws governing our industry. Also, please keep in mind that though we may monitor this space to ensure that comments are in line with these guidelines, we are not responsible for the content of posts shared by other community members.

In some social media posts, we may link to third-party content, such as other company websites or social media accounts. These links do not constitute and are not meant to suggest or imply any affiliation with or endorsement of the content on these websites or social media channels, or the publishers of that content.

Recruitment fraud advisory
Be advised that we have received reports of fraudulent recruiting activities, including requests for banking, credit card and other personal information, by individuals or organizations falsely claiming to be recruiting on behalf of Viatris. Some fraudulent activities have begun with bogus job interview inquiries or applications sent by email, instant messenger (IM) or text.

Viatris recruiters and our recruiting firms do not request banking or credit card information in connection with Viatris recruiting activities. Additionally, Viatris representatives do not request payment or personal bank information as part of our recruitment process. is the primary source of all company job postings and authorized third-party career websites. If you question the legitimacy of a job opening for which Viatris is recruiting, please visit to see if the job is posted. Viatris does engage recruiting agencies to help identify potential candidates for open positions.
