In addition to those who evacuated, Viatris has some colleagues who remain in their original locations in Ukraine, both by choice and by government mandate. The company continues to monitor their situations and offer assistance as needed. For many, the crisis is very personal: even as some supported the evacuation, they were also facing the reality that family and friends remained in Ukraine.
The company’s global and regional human relations teams are helping people as they work to gain traction in their new circumstances so they can be independent and recover some sense of stability. That includes ensuring access for counseling to help with the psychological burden, which can be overwhelming.
Our mission is to empower people worldwide to live healthier at every stage of life, regardless of geography or circumstance. We will continue to do all that we can to support the health, safety and well-being of our colleagues and patients as this crisis evolves.
